Emmanuel Church, Bistre

Emmanuel Church, Bistre has served the local community since 1842.  Nowadays, it offers Sunday Eucharist services at 8.30am. On the first and third Sundays of each month there is a Eucharist service at 10.30am.  Alternating with this on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, there is an all age / morning worship service.  In addition, there is a Wednesday Eucharist at 9.30am.

St Cecilia's, Mynydd Isa

St Cecilia's, Mynydd Isa has served the local community since 1892.  Nowadays, it offers Sunday Eucharist services at 10.45am on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.  On the first and third Sundays of each month there is an all age / morning worship service.  In addition, there is a Tuesday Eucharist at 10.30am.

All Saints, Lane End

All Saints, Lane End has served the local community since 1892.  Nowadays, it offers Sunday Eucharist services at 9.30am on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.  On the first and third Sundays of each month there is an all age / morning worship service.  In addition, there is a Thursday midweek service at 12.30pm.

Rev Canon Martin Batchelor is Vicar of the three churches in Bistre and has been in post since 2005.  As well as his busy role at Bistre, he is also the Borderlands Mission Area Leader, which sees him assuming overall responsibility for our 19 churches.

Martin is married with 3 young children.  Originating from South Wales he is an avid Swansea fan.  He is also a keen park runner and is learning how to play the piano.
